Arifoğlu Frankincense Oil is a herbal essential oil. Frankincense Oil contains essential oil, resin, free and form cinnamic acid.

20 drops of Frankincense oil can be mixed with 100 ml of Coconut Oil and applied to the face as a mask.

Frankincense oil is tahini-coloured, close to brown, has a honey consistency, and has a sticky, dull and matte structure. Ancient Egyptians used this balm in the mummification process. Its widest spread in Turkey is in Muğla, especially around Marmaris, Dalaman, Köyceğiz and Fethiye. During the Ottoman Empire, Frankincense oil was exported to Egypt. There are balsam channels on the lignified trunk of the sweetgum tree. Every two or three years, in the summer, longitudinal slits are made from each tree and the fragrant oil (balsam) and bark of the tree are removed. The substance leaking from the wounds is collected by scraping with special blades. After boiling this secretion and shells with hot water, they are squeezed in special presses to obtain sahiba oil.
