Dried watermelon is the dried form of fresh watermelon. Watermelon contains approximately 90-95% water. For this reason, as a result of drying, approximately 1 kg of dried watermelon remains from 15-20 kg of watermelon. During drying, the water in the product evaporates and the essence of the product remains. For this reason, the nutritional values of dried watermelon, especially its carbohydrate, vitamin and protein rates, have increased greatly.
Dried watermelon is produced by drying the fresh product under appropriate conditions after passing the necessary pre-treatments. As a result of drying, as the water in the dried product evaporates, the essence of the product remains and the nutritional values, vitamins and active ingredients in the natural dried watermelon increase significantly compared to its fresh natural state. There are many differences between consuming the same amount of fresh watermelon and dried watermelon in terms of nutritional values, but in terms of benefits, except for exceptional cases, it can be said that dried watermelon is beneficial for the same purposes as natural fresh watermelon.
